SomaliPolls is an initiative aimed at raising awareness among Somali citizens about their constitutional rights and how they can exercise their right to vote and directly choose their representatives. By doing so, SomaliPolls seeks to empower Somali citizens and encourage them to participate actively in their country’s democratic processes.

To facilitate this goal, SomaliPolls provides detailed information on the representation of different constituencies at the Federal level, including the allocation of parliament seats among the four major clans – Darod, Dir, Hawiye, and Rahanweyn – as well as the so-called minorities. This information allows Somali citizens to gain a better understanding of the political landscape and make informed decisions about their representatives.
